Captain’s Log ‘09
What with summer almost over and our last post seemingly light years in the past, Planet Pooch is moving at Warp Speed to update our poorly neglected Captain’s Log to keep our pooches and pooch parents up to date on everything that happens during the day.
Start keeping an eye out in our ‘First Days‘ section to see how the new comers are faring and who’s become fast friends at Planet Pooch! Check the ‘News‘ section to see what earth shattering developments may be under way!

Dig Day
Huge piles of dirt arrived, to many wagging tails and restless paws! To be exact, 360 tons of dirt came and dogs immediately acted upon their instincts by digging! The delivery people threw in 9 extra tons just for fun, leaving us with plenty of dirty yet pampered pooches by the end of day. As the days wore on, dirt migrated around and now we have nice hills for the canines to cavort around. Below are the pictures taken during the dirtiest day in the dogs’ lives. (Not to worry, dogs are washable).

Pool days
“The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco,” a famous quote formerly thought to be uttered by Mark Twain, remains true regardless of who said it. That’s why we are constructing an indoor pool, complete with 4,000 gallons of heated water for the pooches to enjoy some watery fun all year-round. Admittedly, we started this project about a year ago and we are still working on it, in all intents to make it perfect for our furry friends. The dogs have been patient with us throughout the year and now they will be immensely rewarded for their cooperation in two weeks! Below are the pictures of almost-completed pool.
- Jessica is lording over the construction.
- Elsa is eagerly anticipating her first dive.
- Already at ease in the pool… just add water.
